The collaboration of EasyPay and Teach for Armenia had its beautiful start with the Nation-Builders program for the sponsorship of Hatis Secondary School after V. Vardanyan. The Nation-Builders program allows all interested individuals and companies to promote education development in Armenia by investing in it.

We decided to go on with another initiative, sponsoring the Tsaghkahovit Secondary School after A. Isahakyan. Thanks to our investment, a long-awaited informatics teacher came to school, one that managed to arouse kids’ interest in the subject.

After searching for an informatics teacher for almost two years, having Teacher-Leader Alvard Rostomyan is a great joy for students and the school in general. It feels like she has breathed new life into the school. With many years of teaching experience, Ms. Rostomyan uses innovative methods, fosters students’ creativity, and helps them analyze and find solutions on their own. We were convinced of this since we were present in one of her lessons and saw students participating actively. Not only were students listening to her closely but also we were. In the end, we all implicitly agreed that none of us had received such an explanation of that topic at school.

When we arrived at the school in the morning of October 30, the school principal Mr. Antonyan gave us a warm welcome. We could see a lot of happiness in his eyes. It didn’t take us a lot of time to understand how much he cares about the school. During the conversation, he said: “If it is for the kids, you have my agreement on anything.”

Collaborating with other institutions, Mr. Antonyan is now working on equipping classrooms with computers and other tools. It means that more students will be able to use digital technology and develop the necessary skills in the near future.

12th-grade students presented the history of Tsaghkahovit and interesting facts relating to the village. While chatting with them, we learned what they are up to: they are preparing for the university entrance exams. It turned out that most students in senior classes are planning to continue their education at university, and it made us happy.

Many students have decided to study in the fields of economics, finance, and IT. This fact gave us the idea of inviting interested students to EasyPay, organizing a tour, and familiarizing them with the company’s activities. Who knows, maybe we will become colleagues in a few years!

This experience is unique and dear to us. Being involved in school life and connecting with people cheered up the day. Recalling our visit and telling you about it, we have a big smile on our faces behind the screen.

Dear welcoming school of Tsaghkahovit, dear beautiful people of the school, and dear “Teach for Armenia”, our warmest thanks to you.
